Often — when a human being does something horrible and damaging to his or her family members, neighbors, coworkers or random innocents — there appear abundant and sophisticated attempts to explain the reasons for violence and seemingly unprovoked aggression. Psychologists and crime profilers are invited by media to answer numerous questions and try to classify and explain the incident. Often the following terms are used: “childhood trauma”, “brain disorder”, “behavioral disorder”, et cetera.

There is something that always bothered me about those terms. Those final analysis were never enough for me — for there was something that was definitely missing, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what it something was. Not until recently.
